Hello, i would like to know or confirm if its possible to use nfs version type 4 when using vm instant recovery.

as far we know vpowernfs uses nfs v3 (type 3).

we have a project in large customer that he could use a big quantity of intant recovery. probably he will not use this but he whant to know if its possible to run a large quantity.

Since in the project the production flash storages are brand X and the backups flash storages are brand Y, and all the network infrastructure are with 25gb networks with LACP. infrastructure shold not be the limit, operations systems involved will not be the limit, veeam will not be the limit as itself but we started questioning ourselves about the NFS v3 performance inside the vpowernfs connection with the hosts (vsphere 8.0.3).

i didnt find any documentation about forcing nfs v4 when the nas mounting action between veeam and vmware and i didnt find anything saying nothing about this, just 2 forum articles without anything answered or with any ideia.

this project is about protecting 15000 vms and of course is not to up instant recovery all but some number (50/100/300/500/1000).

my question is only about nfs version of the vpower nfs connection.

any ideia will be appreciated.

thanks in advance.
